No pain, no GAIN—not according to research!

We’ve all seen it.

Someone is on a run and they are TIRED.  Their breathing is labored, their form is breaking down and yet they just keep pushing.

No pain, no gain, right?

Well, no.

An inability to maintain good form and manage your breathing is a direct signal from your body that you need to slow down in order for your bodily functions to keep operating.

Contrary to popular belief, pushing past this signal doesn’t make you stronger or fitter--it makes you more vulnerable to injuries, makes recovery take longer, leads to chronic stress, makes you more susceptible to anxiety and eats away at your will-power to consistently show up.

More pain, LESS gain.

⭐ Now take all of that and apply it to your workday.

Mental fog, exhaustion, apathy and procrastination aren’t just annoying workday realities that you need to push past, but signposts that you need to take a moment to recharge.

When you ignore your body's signals to pause, stressors add up and you become less resilient.

If working means grinding, that’s a 🚩.

And the research proves it.

Check out this study:

When researchers looked at a series of studies on microbreaks, what they found was that the people who took the breaks worked around 9% LESS time during the day, BUT their productive output was 5% HIGHER and the quality of their work also improved around 9%.

You got that right.  Less work, more & better output.

And all of that was on top of the fact that people strained less and had improved physical and mental health.

Rise & grind?

Nope.
